Eulogy For Rush

He was an inspiration, of sorts.

I’m so sad at the passing of Rush today at the ripe old age of 70. I’m so sad he didn’t die sooner. Because had he died at 69, he wouldn’t have been around to say Covid 19 was the common cold. He wouldn’t have been around to say masks were for the weak.

Rush was an inspiration, of sorts. He had 15 million followers. He inspired some of them to death.

I’m so sad at the passing of Rush today at the ripe old age of 70. I’m so sad he didn’t die sooner. Because had he died at 59, he wouldn’t have been around to continuously question whether America’s only Black president was Kenyan. He wouldn’t have been around to continuously call him a Muslim.

He wouldn’t have been around to question whether America wanted to watch a female president age. He wouldn’t have been around to call our current vice president a “ho” or to call a woman advocating for birth control, a slut.

Rush was an inspiration, of sorts. He inspired his followers to racism. He inspired his followers to bigotry. He inspired his followers to Islamophobia. He inspired his followers to sexism.

I’m so sad at the passing of Rush today at the ripe old age of 70. I’m so sad he didn’t die sooner. Because had he died at 39, he wouldn’t have been around to say that Black people looked…
